Steve brings more than 25 years of experience in high technology to J. Robert Scott. He has deep experience as an executive search consultant, a member of the management teams of several successful technology companies, and a partner in a venture capital firm.

While at Kodiak Venture Partners he advised portfolio companies on building world-class management teams. Steve also focused on assessing the caliber of teams as a part of the due diligence process for new investments and sat on the boards of several of Kodiak's companies – Groove Mobile, Mindreef, Recordant, SIMtone, and Weather Trends. Prior to joining Kodiak, Steve was President of a Boston-based retained executive search firm that specializes in helping technology clients build winning organizations. Previously, he spent five years as a key member of the Technology Practice in the Boston office of Russell Reynolds Associates, working with clients ranging from start-ups to established global corporations.

Before entering the executive search field, Steve ran global sales and business development at several technology companies including Lightbridge, where he helped grow the business from its early stages to one of New England's leading public software companies.

Steve holds a B.A. in History from Denison University.

Steve is an avid outdoorsman and has raced up Mount Washington twice on his bicycle, loves to ski, and coaches youth lacrosse.

Steve and his wife Kim live north of Boston and have three children, twin daughters Kate and Britt, and a son, Crandall.
