Michelle recently graduated from Dartmouth College, majoring in Government and East Asian Studies. She spent an academic term studying at Beijing Normal University after her freshman year, and returned to China her junior year to intern at the U.S. Commercial Service in the American Consulate General in Shanghai.
She worked on campus at the Dickey Center for International Relation throughout her entire college career and also completed an internship at the U.S. Department of Labor in Washington, DC.
Michelle had previously lived most of her life on the subway, in school, or at home. After spending four years at college in rural New Hampshire, however, the native New Yorker has developed a great appreciation for the outdoors and winter sports, and hopes to hike and ski more.
She also enjoys running, squash, eating, and traveling, and is constantly trying to live a healthier lifestyle but loves ice cream and cake a little too much to succeed in her efforts.
