J. Robert Scott Process
Back to top Timeline The Methodology of our process is designed to deliver closure within 90 to 120 days of engagement. Week One: Through client consultation, we help define the position and develop the recruiting strategy. These objectives are documented in our Letter of Confirmation. Week Two: We produce research articulating the targeted executive population. A detailed Research Report describing this universe is reviewed with our client by the fourteenth day of the assignment. A Continuous Two Week Cycle: The search then proceeds according to a recurring cycle of Candidate Development/JRS Interview/Candidate Assessment, and Client Interviews. This stage provides a series of iterations designed to bring the assignment progressively closer to resolution. Once a search has been initiated, clients should be prepared to begin interviewing candidates within the first 45 days of the assignment. Each candidate J. Robert Scott presents has been interviewed and is fully described in a Candidate Report. This document includes: comprehensive employment information, a detailed chronicle of the individual’s career history, full compensation package and a candid and complete assessment of qualifications. Our process includes reference checking, verification of educational credentials and offer negotiation. Back to top Functions J. Robert Scott is a learning organization that believes in the primacy of its craft. We are dedicated professionals wholly committed to the business of search and to getting better at it through a process of continual improvement. Each recruiting project is executed through the intimate collaboration of three distinct and highly evolved functions. These functions, Research, Candidate Development and Account Management, work together precisely and in a complementary fashion. This seamlessly integrated unit produces timely and robust results for our clients. Account Management Account Managers bring industry and search expertise to further screen and personally interview and evaluate candidates. They provide clients with written assessments on each candidate and combine this thorough insight with the advice and consultation needed to make sound evaluations of final candidates. The Account Manager will also lead the reference checking process and will play a key role in negotiation and closing the selected candidate. Candidate Development The Candidate Developer is responsible for proactive networking and makes initial contact with candidates, assessing how potential candidates’ backgrounds and motivations align with the required characteristics and skills for a client’s position. Research J. Robert Scott has a dedicated research function. We hire bright, recent college graduates from great schools who have the energy to conduct the thorough research required to bring clients a broad range of unique and qualified candidates. ![]() Back to top |
